Nov 24 -- Anniversary of Origin of Species

Today is the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin's Origin of Species. In "honor" of that, we are watching Ben Stein's movie, Expelled tonight, and plan to watch our new DVD, the Mysterious Islands, tomorrow.

On November 25th, The Mysterious Islands (http://www.themysteriousislands.com/) will premiere at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Viewers will be transported to the far side of the world, where they will meet the strange and unusual inhabitants of a remote island archipelago called the Galapagos. There they will join Dr. John Morris, president of the Institute for Creation Research, Doug Phillips, president of Vision Forum Ministries and a team of adventurers as they cross the black lava rocks of Fernandina Island, track-down the ancient Galapagos Tortoise, study the flightless cormorant and salt-sneezing marine iguana, encounter the dive-bombing, blue-footed booby. Some of the team will even travel far beneath the surface and film without a cage around more than one hundred sharks.

On the Galapagos Islands, the team will battle a theory that changed the modern world, because it was there on Galapagos, that the modern war of the world-views began.

Come to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville to watch the new creation adventure film, The Mysterious Islands, this November 25, the day after the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s magnum opus, On the Origin of the Species.

Come join us as we answer this question as part of a night to remember as the new and controversial film, The Mysterious Islands, comes to Huntsville for a special premiere screening. The screening in Huntsville will be held November 25th at 6:30 p.m.

Nov 10 Class

Today we covered Sea Otters, Sting Rays, Manta Rays, and Sea Horses.

We are officially done until December; however, several of the students will be here next week. Therefore, we will be watching a couple of Creation videos during the regular class time...

Nov 3 Class

Today we continued our look at marine animals. We compared the Sharks we studied last week, compared sea lions and seals, and learned about the giant octopus and the sea star.

We also watched a Moody movie: Voice of the Deep.
