Week 1

Today we watched Ken Ham in the Answers in Genesis DVD, “Do Animals Evolve?” We discussed “what is life” and “what is alive” and the fact that the Bible does not refer to plants as living things.

We also discussed:
Creation and Evolution are Worldviews.
Genesis mentions they were created “after their kind” ten times
Do animals change? If so, is that evolution?
Evolution requires “gradual change over long periods of time”
Genetics is about information.
Natural selection is a loss of information.
Mutations are mistakes, which also involve a loss of information.
Because of “kinds”, less than 16,000 animals would have had to be on the ark
(could have fit in 1/3 of the ark).
Much of evolution is based on theory of “molecules to man”.
How many races are there? Only 1 – the Human Race.
We have all descended from Adam, spreading out across the Earth since the Tower of Babel.
Fossils are well explained by a global flood.
